Paper Flower Table Setting Ideas

In this article, we are going to look at a couple paper flower table-setting ideas whether you are having family or friends over for dinner, hosting a birthday party, a wedding or any type of holiday or special occasion.

Most people do not give much thought to how a table setting can really be a special occasion to life. When talking about table-settings we are talking about napkin holders, place cards, and little party favors. All of these paper flower table-setting ideas are perfect for an event.

Paper Flower Napkin Holders

You will need an assortment of crepe paper, shears, tape, glue and a flower making book and a few of the tools and supplies listed in the book. Select a flower that you like and make it keeping in mind the size of the napkin once the silverware has been wrapped in it you do not want the flower to be too small or too big that it hangs over the sides of the napkin. You will want to make a very short stem or no stem at all. If you want to wrap the stem around the napkin then simply measure how much stem you will need and add an inch so you have enough to twist it closed. You also have the option of setting the paper flower on top of the napkin however; we recommend that you attach it and if you prefer you can attach it to a small pin; the type that closes. You can choose to have all the paper flowers to match or mix and match the flowers and colors. Whatever you choose your guests are sure to be delighted with the paper flower especially if you let them take it home.

Paper Flower Place Card

Paper flower place cards are nice for any occasion and they are perfect for weddings. For the women make a corsage with a single medium flower, you can use a wristlet or a pin back. For the men make, a boutonniere once the flowers are made attach a small strip of paper with the guests name on it and place it on the plate or in front of the plate. Once the guests find their seats, they can then wear the corsage or boutonniere. If you make these for a wedding, your guests will be delighted and they have something to take home with them that will last a very long time as a reminder of your special day.

Paper Flower Party Favor

Again, these can be made for any occasion but they are wonderful for weddings. You will need a small candy holder (box, netting, plastic wrap or whatever you like.) Place the candy or other party favor(s) into the bag and attach a flower of your choice on top.

These three paper flowers ideas are great for any occasion all you have to do is pick a theme or a color scheme and use your imagination and your will have beautiful paper flower setting ideas.

Crepe Paper Halloween Crafts for Your Yard

Your yard and porch set the tone for your tricker treaters on Halloween. Maybe you remember as a child you just could not wait to get to the house that had the most, or the best decorations on Halloween night. Perhaps you even walked by those special houses on the way home from school or maybe you drove by them on the way to the grocery store with your family. All you probably remember is you just could not wait to run up the walkway of the house and knock on the door because you knew there was something delightful waiting for you. Now, that you are an adult wouldn’t it be nice to be one of those houses? In this article, we are going to look at how you can create a few special crepe paper Halloween crafts for your yard.

You can make all kinds of crepe paper crafts for your yard you just have to keep an eye on the weather and bring them in if it rains, is windy or snow is in the forecast or you can put them out on Halloween night. Let us start with some ideas then we can look at on how to make a few of them. Of course, you will need an assortment of crepe paper, shears, glue, tape, stapler, cardboard and some other items you will come across when you decide what you want to make.

A cemetery is a popular Halloween decoration for your yard as it is a scary maze, scarecrow(s), gigantic pumpkins, bats, witches, even a small haunted house of course, the haunted house you would want to probably put on your porch or in the garage but you can make one outside too and we will start by looking at how to do just that!

Outdoor Haunted House or Haunted Trail

You will need lots of black crepe paper for this project and be warned it is a big project to take on. The first thing you need to do is find four items whether it is trees, or a couple trees and a fence or four poles you make or buy. You need four of these to create the “haunted house” just as each room in your home has four walls. In the event that a haunted house is out of the question you can go with a haunted trail you will still need a few items to attach your decorations to.

The haunted house first once you find four items you can use (as your walls.) Clothes line makes a good way to attach the black crepe paper just make sure it is up high so none of the kids will get caught up in it and hurt themselves. Measure the length from the top of the “wall” to a few inches off the ground and cut your black crepe paper the length you will need, enough crepe paper stripes to place one next to the other to cover the entire outside of the “house.” You can use clothespins to hang them. You may want to cut extra stripes so you can replace them because inevitably a few will be pulled down or torn. You need a few battery operated lanterns to place inside the haunted house so that the kids can see the decorations and also for safety. You can place anything you like in the haunted house from a coffin made out of a large square box and covered in crepe paper, a few heads or brains let your imagination be your guide.

For the haunted trail, the idea is basically the same except you will attach the clothesline in a straight or slightly curvy manner, attach the crepe paper, with tape or a cloths pin to the clothesline, and place your scary decorations along the trail. Be sure to use a few lanterns or some type of lighting.

Another great idea is the cemetery this can be as small or large as you like. You can place anything you want in it. Vampires are very popular this year. Make your tombstones using cardboard and gray or black crepe paper, decorate coffins with crepe paper, and you may even want to toss in a few zombie scarecrows.

Crepe paper Halloween crafts for your yard can be anything you want just be sure there is plenty of light so your decorations can be seen!
